First Aid (Initiation)
Purpose of the training
This basic training teaches you to administer the right care in any given situation.
Target group
Employees who will be called upon within the company as first aid provider.
Training content
- Staying safe as a first aid provider,
- Administering first aid in case of an accident,
- Supporting, protecting and moving a patient,
- CPR and using the AED,
- Checking the patient, chest compression, ventilation,
- Providing assistance in case of unconsiousness,
- Recognising and treating burns and skin wounds,
- Taking care of bleeding,
- Intervening in case of choking and suffocation,
- Intervening in case of hyperventilation,
- Intervening in case of poisoning,
- Recognising and treating neck, spine, brain and eye injuries,
- Taking care of injuries to bones, muscles and joints,
- Assisting in the event of a stroke and heart attack,
- Knowing and applying different bandage / dressing techniques.
Certification
- Passed = you will receive a ‘’Certificate of first aid provider''.
- Not passed = you have a second chance by starting the basic course again.
- The company receives an evaluation form for each participant with the scores obtained on the
tests and an individual recommendation.
Entry requirements
- Minimum age 18 years
Practical arrangements
- To be brought along by participants:
- SAFETY SHOES and IDENTITY CARD
- CLOTHING THAT MAY GET DIRTY DURING PRACTICE
- Participant should bring their own lunch if training takes place at LOGIS
Duration and location of the training
Duration of training:
- 4 hours (minimum time provided by Fps Waso with teaching hours of 60 minutes)
- Attestation validity:
- 3 years
Place of training:
- LOGIS at Oudsbergen / Waarloos
- In your company, if the necessary educational requirements are met
(sufficient equipment and practice space)
