Confined Space
Purpose of the training
Teaching participants to work safely in confined spaces. They
acquire theoretical principles, learn about the risks and the
measures.
Target group
This training is focused specifically on site supervisors,
engineering, work planners, master engineers,
prevention advisers and employees of companies or
organisations who encounter work in confined
spaces.
Training content
Theory:
- legislative framework
- persons involved
- risks specific to work in confined spaces (falling,
crushing, electrocution, chemical agents, physical agents, fire, suffocation
freezing, explosion, operation of installations, etc.) - working in confined spaces, how to proceed: organisational and technical
measures - individual and collective protection
- supervision
- rescue and evacuation
Practice:
- different scenarios with the materials present at the company
- use of access tools and techniques
- being able to interpret and apply permits
- communicating with the security guard
- what to do in an emergency situation
- entering with self-contained breathing systems
Certification
- Passed = you receive an ‘Attestation working in confined spaces’.
- Failed = you may try again by repeating the course.
- The company receives an evaluation form for each participant with the scores obtained on the
tests and an individual recommendation.
Entry requirements
- Minimum age 18 years
- Valid medical certificate declaring suitability
- Completed basic or further training in working with self-contained breathing apparatus within 3 years
Practical arrangements
- To be brought along by participants:
- SAFETY SHOES AND IDENTITY CARD, INTERVENTION CLOTHING, BREATHING EQUIPMENT
